998 Ptarmigan Road is an iconic address filled with Vail heritage and one of President Ford’s favorite places to reside while on holiday.

Throughout the home, natural gray hand-hewn trusses and beautiful Arrigoni wood floors compliment the mountain modern furnishings. A very large adobe wood-burning fireplace and expansive mountain/golf course views complete the inviting feel of this special property. A spacious dining area and kitchen create the seamless flow of the great room and the stunning mix of the old with the new.

The impressive main level primary suite is truly a work of art. The relaxing subdued color scheme, privacy, and amazing views, are a piece of the Vail getaway. A lovely bathroom, sitting area, and designated office space complete the suite.

A second primary suite, large laundry/mud room, and attached 2 car garage are also on the main level. The third primary suite is located on the lower level, as well as 3 more bedrooms with assorted authentic Austrian built-in bunkbeds and twin sized beds.     We had 3 families (6 adults, 8 kids aged 7-14), and this house was perfect. The living room and fireplace were perfect, bedrooms great, and it was wonderful for our kids to be able to play in the snow after a day skiing. Tere was very helpful - she immediately addressed a broken fuse, the driveway was always plowed despite constant snow, and she helped with our shipped skis. Location was great - 2 min walk to the local bus stop that was mins from Golden Peak. Would definitely recommend!!
